This year's military parade on Red Square in Moscow on May 9 will not be as large as last year.

This is reported by the Russian service of the BBC with reference to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

It is noted that there will be fewer people and equipment, and not a single foreign leader will come to the capital of Russia this year.

So, according to the information of the defense department of the aggressor country on the composition of parade columns, 129 units of military equipment will participate in them in 2022, while last year there were 191 military vehicles.

About 10 thousand people will walk along Red Square, including children from the Yunarmiya paramilitary movement and employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. In 2021, 12 thousand people participated in the parade. But as for aviation, this year there will be one more unit – 77 aircraft and helicopters.

Moreover, according to the procedure for passing the columns published by the Russian Ministry of Defense, it can be seen that parade-2022 will not be shown:tanks T-80BVM, self-propelled artillery mounts 2S35 “Coalition-SV”, heavy flamethrower systems TOS-1A “Solntsepek”, vehicles of the engineering remote mining system “Slowdown”, anti-aircraft complex “Pantsir-S”, as well as all vehicles of the Rogvardia.< /p>

It is worth noting that the Russian Ministry of Defense does not explain or comment on the reasons for the decrease in the scope of the parade, just as they do not publish the real numbers of losses in the war in Ukraine.

Recall, 24 February, Russia attacked Ukraine, inflicting a series of missile and air strikes on our cities, including Kyiv. The large-scale invasion has been going on for the 66th day (war of 8 years). The occupiers continue to destroy Ukrainian villages, towns and cities with cruise missiles and air bombs, killing civilians and causing devastating damage to infrastructure.

At the same time, Russia also suffers colossal losses in manpower and equipment in Ukraine. Thus, as of April 29, more than 23,000 Russian soldiers, almost 1,000 tanks, 2,418 armored combat vehicles, 189 aircraft and 155 helicopters have already been liquidated.
