Belarus is withdrawing troops on its southern borders to their permanent locations.

Self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko gave the order to withdraw Belarusian troops from the border with Ukraine, since the tension in the region has been eliminated.

This was reported by the Belarusian state agency BELTA.

Lukashenko said that tensions on the border with Ukraine had been eliminated after a recent significant escalation of the situation, to which the Belarusian side was forced to respond.

“After our specific work, the Ukrainians withdrew their armed forces and additional troops that they had transferred to our border from the border and generally withdrew them from the Belarusian-Ukrainian border zone,” Lukashenko said.

According to him, there are “no complications with the Ukrainians” in the country.

In addition, the Belarusian Defense Ministry announced the immediate withdrawal of troops on the southern borders to their permanent deployment locations.

The representative of the State Border Service Andrei Demchenko stated that such statements by the dictator of the Republic of Belarus are a continuation of the information influence that Belarus exerts, playing along with Russia, and “in general trying to demonstrate its military activity.”

“They themselves created the threat and themselves removed it,” he added.

We recall that on July 9, the opening of joint anti-terrorist exercises “Attack Falcon” with China took place at the Brestsky training ground in Belarus.
