The Italian Defense Minister called on his country's authorities to extend support for Ukraine until at least the end of 2025.
Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto said that there is no simple and immediate solution to the Russian war against Ukraine.
About this he said in the Italian Senate, discussing the extension of military aid to Ukraine until December 31, 2025, ANSA reports.
“There was no simple or immediate solution. There is a significant increase in the number of Russian attacks that indiscriminately hit military and civilian targets in Ukraine,” says the head of the Italian Defense Ministry.
According to the minister, the Italian government is discussing the issue of extending the allocation of military aid to Ukraine until December 31, 2025.
“So far, the position has always been clear. We are thinking about continuing to support Ukraine in order to finally create conditions for a ceasefire and begin the necessary diplomatic discussion to achieve long-term peace,” Crosetto concluded.
Earlier it became known when Ukraine's negotiations with Trump's team will take place.
