The actions of the Czech authorities allowed the country to get rid of dependence on Russian energy resources.
Prime Minister Czech Republic Petr Fiala said that his country has now completely gotten rid of dependence on gas from Russia.
He reported this on his page in social networks X.
He said that last spring the country was under serious threat due to a possible shortage of natural gas. Therefore, the country’s energy security could suffer, since the country was largely dependent on energy supplies from the Russian Federation.
“We had no doubts and took several important steps. One of them was the opening of an LNG terminal in the Netherlands, which can cover a significant part of our consumption,” wrote Fiala.
The Czech Prime Minister noted that the country has now completely gotten rid of its dependence on natural gas from the Russian Federation.
Recall that it was previously reported that The Czech Republic extended the mandate for training the Ukrainian military until the end of 2024.
