The details of the removal of the Russian youth ice hockey team from the flight from Calgary to Frankfurt am Main have appeared. This was reported by “RB Sport” with reference to the Swedish journalist Marie Lehmann.
Lehmann said that the officials of the Russian national team, and not the hockey players, behaved indecently. They violated the rules of safe travel.
The manager of the Czech team commented on the incident to Match TV. “We boarded the plane and at that moment noticed that some representatives of the Russian national team did not follow the sanitary rules, and alcohol probably played a role in this. One of the members of the Russian national team even smoked in the tunnel before boarding the plane, ”said a representative of the Czech national team.
Earlier on January 1, it became known that the Russian youth ice hockey team could not fly out of Calgary, Canada after the 2022 World Youth Championship was canceled. Lehmann noted that the reason for the denial of boarding was drunkenness, smoking and the refusal of the Russian delegation to wear masks.
