Oleg Zhdanov suggested that the United States has two options. Or they are trying to create conditions for a change of power to occur in Russia. Or that the economic situation would lead to internal fluctuations in the aggressor country, but would not allow its collapse.

For the States, as I understand it, the worst nightmare is the collapse of Russia. Why? Because this could lead to negative consequences for the United States itself, the military expert noted.

Military assistance to Ukraine with US sides: the main thing

• In early December 2023, the US Senate failed to support the White House's additional $106 billion funding request for national border security . This includes $61 billion in military and humanitarian aid for Ukraine.
• Then the coordinator for strategic communications of the National Security Council at the White House, John Kirby, said that the White House expects the United States to succeed accept a new aid package for Ukraine in January 2024.
• On the evening of December 27, 2023, it became known that the United States announced the allocation of another military aid package for Ukraine. Its total amount is $250 million.
• John Kirby stressed that the United States will no longer be able to supply military assistance to Ukraine until the US Congress passes the allocation of financial assistance to Ukraine. He noted that the White House no longer has money for new military support for Ukraine.
• US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said that Washington will support military funding for our state, but not for level of 2022 and 2023. According to him, the US goal is to help Ukraine get on its feet, as well as build a military-industrial base so that our state itself can finance, produce and purchase weapons. But for now, Ukraine cannot yet defend itself relying only on its own forces, so it is important that Congress passes a law on additional funding.
