The world's first Mini-LED panel was unveiled at ChinaJoy 2021, which showcases games and game solutions in Shanghai. The device has a refresh rate of 480 Hz and a response of 1 ms.
The panel is manufactured by BOE, which does not sell electronics under its own brand. It is a provider of technical solutions for global brands Acer, Lenovo, ASUS, Dell and HP. The OLED panel in question has a backlight of 10,000 LEDs with a brightness of 2000 nits.
In addition to the panel, the company presented a prototype monitor with OLED backlighting, an aspect ratio of 32: 9 and a radius of curvature of 1800R. It is noted that the share of BOE screens with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and above will grow from 24% to 50% in the market share of solutions such as the panel shown throughout the remainder of the year.
