US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken assessed the country's role in the world arena. In his opinion, the United States plays an organizing role in interaction with other countries, RIA Novosti reports.
Blinken stressed that US leadership is important. The world does not organize itself, so the Secretary of State predicted chaos for it without the participation of the States.
“When we are not involved in the work, when we are not leading, then one of two things happens: either someone else is trying to take our place, but not in a way that would promote our interests and values, or no one is trying. Then chaos turns out, ”Blinken predicted at a speech at the State Department.
Blinken added that he had many personal meetings with colleagues. As a result of these conversations, it can be said that every region of the world “is frankly happy with the participation and leadership of the United States.”
Earlier, disarmament specialist Nikolai Sokov predicted a new, even more acute crisis in the spring for Russia and the United States. He admitted that the current situation around Ukraine could be defused a little.
