What should have been a solemn meeting quickly turned into a demonstration of isolation Putin even among Russia's neighbors.
The Samarkand summit demonstrated the weakening of the position of the dictator Vladimir Putin among his allies.
The Telegraph writes about this .
First, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Dzhaparov made Putin wait for himself, and then Putin made a statement in which he admitted that Beijing had questions about the war in Ukraine. And even Indian leader Narendra Modi, who previously avoided condemning the Russian invasion, told Putin that “today is not the time for war.”
All of these are signs that Putin is weakening not only on the battlefield, but also on the international arena.
