The World Bank Board approved the allocation of $1.49 billion for Ukraine.
The World Bank approved the allocation of financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of $1.49 billion, as a result of which the total planned support package for the Ukrainian economy exceeded $4 billion.

Money should be used to pay wages to government and social workers. These funds contain loan guarantees provided by Britain, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Latvia and a number of other countries. The project is also supported by parallel funding from Italy and contributions from a new multi-donor trust fund.
“The World Bank provides ongoing support to Ukraine and its people before the war. We are working with donor countries to mobilize financial support and use … different financial instruments to help provide Ukrainians with access to health care, education and social protection,” bank president David Malpas said in a statement.
Recall that in May Ukraine received €504 million from the World Bank and €600 million from the European Commission.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the monthly budget deficit in Ukraine is 5 billion US dollars.
