In total, about a thousand young artists from 11 to 18 years old from all regions of Russia took part in the project, and the exhibition will feature 15 of the best works – ideas of works of art for outer space.
Two of them belong to participants from Moscow – a student of the Russian State Social University Yulia Skornyakova and a student of the Trinity gymnasium Vasilisa Shaposhnikova.
The victory of the girls in the competition is not accidental: last year Yulia's works adorned the Hermitage exhibition, the author's collection of clothes “The Russians are Coming” won first place in the “Gerber Fashion” competition for ethno-designers, the paintings were exhibited at several exhibitions. Vasilisa Shaposhnikova graduated from the art school and studio of contemporary painting “Indigo”. Both girls dream of personal exhibitions and participation in a multimedia exposition in one of the country's main museums is a step towards their dream.
Within the framework of the competition, young artists also became participants in an educational program conducted for them by Rostan Tavasiev, a young Russian artist, chief curator of the project from the Tretyakov Gallery and co-author of a multimedia installation. Rostan Tovasiev's master classes were held on the virtual creative platform of the Generation M project – the site pokolenie.mts.ru.
The project is valuable precisely by the opportunities it opens up: winners from any region of the country can undergo internships at the largest film studios, enter the big stage with the stars, enter GITIS, or become a member of the exposition of one of the main art museums in Russia.
MTS converts all activities in groups and on the project website into “real money” and transfers them to the treatment of seriously ill children. In total, over the period of the program's work, more than 20 million rubles were collected, which were directed to the treatment of 63 children.
