The Ötscher lifts in Lackenhof will open in the 2020/21 winter season. That was already clear before the (today's) shareholders' meeting with representatives of the Schröcksnadel Group and the state of Lower Austria, said Jochen Danninger (ÖVP), State Councilor for Economic Affairs and Tourism. At the same time, the Ötscher lifts would have to be set up to be fit for the future.

Danninger emphasized that this would “only succeed with a merger with the neighboring Hochkar mountain railways”. The Schröcksnadel Group holds 60 percent of the two companies, and the state holds 40 percent.
The state council stated that the opening of the lifts in Lackenhof was a good result in terms of people's sporting activities and the regional economy. He is happy that the Schröcksnadel group has given in.
