White House press secretary Kayleigh Makinani, during a briefing at the White House, said when the current US President Donald Trump is ready to admit defeat in the election. RIA Novosti quoted her words.

She stated that legal proceedings are ongoing. “The violations that have taken place deserve attention,” Makinani said.

At the same time, she stressed that the White House does not comment on the course of legal processes launched at the initiative of Donald Trump's campaign headquarters because of the past elections, the head of state is seeking to count only legitimate votes.

Makinani recalled that in a number of American states, processes were initiated due to violations that took place, according to Trump's headquarters. However, she advised to seek clarification in the election campaign.

Earlier, Trump called the refusal to recognize the victory in the election of the head of state of Democrat Joe Biden as revenge for an investigation into his ties with Russia in 2016. According to CNN, citing a source from the president's entourage, Trump is aware of his loss, but deliberately postpones the process of transferring power to Biden. Thus, he wants to take revenge on the Democrats for initiating an investigation. The American leader believes that this largely blurred the beginning of his presidency.

On November 3, 2020, the next presidential elections were held in the United States. The counting of votes and the proceedings on this issue are still ongoing. According to the media, the candidate from the Democratic Party of the United States, Joe Biden, received the necessary number of electoral votes to win, thus beating Trump. He has already proclaimed himself US President-elect. Trump, in turn, said that Biden was quick to call himself the country's new leader.
