Белый дом призвал Джонсона немедленно поставить на голосование помощь Украине

Biden noted that the issue of assistance for Ukraine is urgent.

If the United States does not provide Ukraine sufficient assistance, it will continue to lose its territories.

This was stated by White House National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby, transmitting Voice of America.

“They are running out of ammunition, the situation is very difficult. I will not assume that they are losing the war on any particular day, but they are certainly losing territory that they have already won from the Russians, because they cannot, they cannot repel their attacks,” a White House spokesman said.

That same day, President Joe Biden met with congressional leaders and called on them to act to avoid the “dire consequences of inaction” regarding Ukraine. After the meeting with the president, Speaker of the House of Representatives Mike Johnson said that assistance to Ukraine would be resolved “in a timely manner,” and the priorities for the United States were protecting the border and keeping the government running.

Commenting on the words of Speaker Johnson, Kirby emphasized: the issue of assistance for Ukraine is urgent.

“Speaking of “timely” help, what do you mean? For Ukrainian soldiers on the front line, timely means now. While we were returning from the weekend, the Russians began to capture new cities and villages in Ukraine. They are moving forward, this is not a frozen conflict,” he recalled.

Kirby called on Johnson to back up his words with actions and immediately put the Ukraine aid bill to a vote.

Recall that it was previously reported that US President Joe Biden said that the consequences of Congress's inaction on the issue of assistance to Ukraine are terrifying.

Additionally, we previously reported that Speaker of the House Johnson faced a defining dilemma regarding Ukraine.
