The White House called January 12 the date of the meeting of Russian representatives with NATO members, writes Reuters, citing a representative of the US administration.
“It is expected that Russia and NATO will meet on January 12,” the agency said.
Earlier it was reported that negotiations between Russia and the United States on Ukraine and arms control will take place on January 10. On January 13, representatives of Russia and the OSCE will meet.
On December 17, the Russian Foreign Ministry published draft agreements with NATO and Washington on security guarantees, which were transferred to the American side during the visit of US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Karen Donfried to Moscow.
In the documents, in particular, Moscow called on NATO members to abandon further expansion to the East and conduct any military activity on the territory of Ukraine and other states of Eastern Europe, Transcaucasia and Central Asia.
