< p>Partners need to be convinced that the potential collapse of the aggressor state is not a problem.
Today Ukraine is being pushed to negotiate because in the West there is no clear strategy on war and Russia. They are afraid that Russia will collapse and the spread of nuclear weapons or an uncontrollable conflict will begin.
This was stated by diplomat, permanent representative of Ukraine to the UN (2015-2019), Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the USA (2020-2021) Vladimir Elchenko on the Espresso TV channel.
As a diplomat, Yelchenko emphasized, he understands: at a certain stage, it will be necessary to negotiate something with these monsters.
Of course, under Putin we will not agree on anything with this country, but any war ends with negotiations. I would like negotiations to begin as soon as possible, but today I see no reason for them. Because there is nothing to negotiate with Putin. After yesterday’s attack on Kyiv, on a children’s hospital, I can’t imagine how you can sit down at the negotiating table with the Russian Federation,” – Elchenko emphasized.
He notes: today Ukraine is being pushed into negotiations because the West does not have a clear strategy on war and Russia. They are afraid that Russia will collapse and the spread of nuclear weapons or an uncontrollable conflict will begin.
Although we already went through this in 1991 after the collapse of the Soviet Union. They were also afraid then, but nothing terrible happened,” says the diplomat.
In his opinion, Ukraine needs to convince its Western partners that there is nothing wrong with the collapse of Russia. Because the Russian Federation has no prospects for negotiations and agreements.
“That is, there is nothing to talk about with these people. They belong to another civilization, which does not intersect with the civilization in which we and the Western world exist,” summed up Vladimir Elchenko.
Recall that a military expert predicted how long it will take to fight before the collapse of the Russian Federation.
