Russia is waging an all-out war against Ukraine and is preparing a new large-scale offensive.
This was stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Lithuanian Valdemaras Rupshis in an interview with Guildhall.
He noted that the main impetus for Western support for Ukraine is Kyiv's clear position on the impossibility of defeat and negotiations with Russia. The military said that the Kremlin has moved to an all-out war with Ukraine, in which logistics and support play a key role.
“Today, this provision largely depends on the support of the West. According to my estimates, NATO countries, Ukraine's partners have realized that the war will last a long time and there is no other option but to support and provide Ukraine,” the general said.
< p>Rupshis noted that after the start of mobilization in Russia, it became clear that Moscow was preparing for a new offensive, and this could only be prevented by supplying sufficient quantities of weapons to the Ukrainian military.
The general also stated that Russia has the resources to fight a long war.
“There are internal resources and they also receive support from some countries, probably from India and other states, probably also from China. We must keep in mind that Russia has all the conditions to provide its own army with ammunition, tanks, combat vehicles. They can fight, they also have enough aircraft,” he added.
