By the beginning of the new school year, VK Mail will appear in the VK ecosystem – a service for exchanging letters with reliable protection, minimalist design and the ability to customize everything for yourself. The new product is designed for the audience of the social network VKontakte, which needs technological and personalized mail for work and study.
Users will have access to bright themes from VKontakte, sorting letters and smart replies that work on the basis of machine learning, as well as the ability to unsubscribe from unnecessary mailings with one click. It is safe and easy to log into VK Mail using a single VK Connect account.
When a person receives a letter from a store, he can immediately go to a chat with the company in the VKontakte messenger and clarify the details: for example, order status or delivery time. Already now, it will be possible to quickly contact seven companies, including Ozon, Wildberries and Lamoda. This list will expand and soon it will be possible to open a chat with almost any brand or marketplace directly from the letter.

Users will be able to create mail using the beautiful short address of their VK page – for example, [email protected]. This benefit will continue for 30 days after the launch of the service or after the user updates the profile address.
VK Mail is a cozy space for everyone, so you can adapt the design for yourself. For example, install branded themes – with popular sticker characters or the Singer House, where the VKontakte headquarters is located.
Technologies
Smart sorting by metatreds, which works on the basis of machine learning, will help to put things in order. It automatically distributes emails into folders: “Letters to myself”, “News”, “Social networks”, “Mailings”. The user can set his own filters: put individual letters in folders (for example, by project name), delete them, mark them as read or with a flag, send an auto-reply, and so on.
With one click, you can unsubscribe from obtrusive or simply irrelevant mailings with the “Mailings Management” technology: instead of going to the sender's site, just click the “Unsubscribe” button right in the letter. In addition, unclaimed mailings are collected on a separate page – you can unsubscribe from them at once.
Smart answers are also available to users: short phrases that can be sent in continuation of the correspondence. Based on the content of letters, they are offered by a special ML-model created by Mail.ru Mail.
Security
VK Mail uses a single VK Connect account – with it you can log in to different projects of the VK ecosystem. So, you can protect mail using two-factor authentication, Touch ID or Face ID. At the same time, there is no separate password for mail – which means that there is no weak point in security, because it is impossible to steal or forget the password. Also, with VK Connect it is easier to protect your data: for example, to view the general session history. And if the user is left without a phone, then a reliable access recovery system will help to log into the account.
VK Mail users' boxes are protected by an anti-spam system that protects them from unwanted content. Thanks to modern machine learning technologies, the system adapts to new spam scenarios.
