The village of Demidov, which is located in the Vyshgorodsky district of the Kiev region, is under the threat of flooding. Fighting has been going on in this settlement since the full-scale invasion of Russian troops.
As informed in the Kiev Regional Council, the threat of flooding of the village arose due to the destroyed dam.
Now the water level in the Irpen River has already reached the maximum allowable level.

The report says that a further rise in the water level in the river will lead to the flooding of roads and cellars in the village. In addition, the flooding of the settlement will make it impossible for local residents to evacuate, deliver food and medicine.

It should be noted that at the end of February, Russian troops tried to resume their offensive against Kyiv through Polissya. To do this, they were preparing a pontoon crossing near Demidov across the Irpen River.
Then, the Office of the Prosecutor General informed that the invaders had blown up a pumping station located at the confluence of the Irpen River into the Kiev reservoir. This happened in the village of Kozarovichi, Vyshgorod district, Kiev region.
The actions of the invaders were qualified as a violation of the laws and customs of war (Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
