At the Ostrov airfield in the Pskov region, the Mi-8 helicopter was checked. It was filled with a bunch of foam.
According to the legend of the check, there was a fire on board the helicopter that had just conventionally landed, the Zvezda TV channel writes. The pilots allegedly poisoned themselves with carbon monoxide, and military firefighters were sent to their aid. As a result, the Mi-8 was filled with foam. Its clubs, of course, find themselves inside the helicopter.
The Zvezda TV channel clarified that any new weapon model passes the maximum number of tests. First, they are carried out by the manufacturer – the National Center for Helicopter Engineering – and then GLITs (State Flight Test Center of the Ministry of Defense named after V.P. Chkalov). Thus, the helicopters are reliable and durable.
