In Germany, the verdict on the Russian citizen who killed the Georgian citizen Khangoshvili entered into force

In Germany, the verdict came into force on the Russian Vadim Sokolov (Krasikov), whom a German court found guilty of the murder of Georgian citizen Zelimkhan Khangoshvili, committed 2.5 years ago in Berlin. This was reported by TASS with reference to a spokesman for the press service of the High Court of Berlin.
“The verdict against 56-year-old Russian citizen Vadim K., known as Vadim S., in the murder case in the Tiergarten park has come into legal force. None of the participants in the process began to challenge it, ”the justice official said. He recalled that the Russian was sentenced to life imprisonment.
The verdict on Vadim Sokolov was delivered on December 15, 2021. A Berlin court denied a Russian citizen the right to early release. In addition, Judge Olaf Arnoldi stated that the Russian state was behind the murder of Khangoshvili, which set a goal of revenge.
Zelimkhan Khangoshvili, a Georgian citizen of Chechen origin, was shot in the head in a park in Berlin on August 23, 2019. Killed – a former field commander who fought against Russia during the second Chechen war on the side of Shamil Basayev's militants.
