The Vatican launched an internal investigation after Pope Francis's official account liked a candid photo of a Brazilian model. Reported by the Catholic News Agency.
Sources close to the Vatican's press service said that the Instagram profile where the incident occurred, like other social networks, is managed by a group of employees. They also added that an investigation was launched to “determine exactly how the like was delivered.”
On November 13, Pope Francis liked the photo of Brazilian model Natalia Garibboto. Netizens and media users noticed that the pontiff liked the photo of a girl in a revealing school uniform.
Soon, the like from the official account of the pontiff disappeared from the record. The Vatican declined to comment on the incident. Garibboto is not following the Pope's account, and Francis is not following anyone on Instagram. However, the model later jokingly remarked that “now she will go to heaven.”
