A columnist for the American edition of the National Interest praised the Su-35S multipurpose Russian fighter.
He believes that thanks to the modernization, this aircraft can be called the best Russian fighter for gaining air superiority without stealth technology. The Su-35S combines versatility and cost-effectiveness.
The expert, quoted by “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”, said that this fighter is superior to many analogues of the fourth generation. It is even better than the American F-22 Raptor, which is classified as a fifth generation aircraft. The advantages of the Su-35S are its huge combat load and “surprisingly flexible set of weapons.” The first is equal to 8000 kilograms. This weight can be distributed across 12 suspension points. The fighter is capable of striking any target, thanks to its extensive arsenal of weapons. That is, the American expert gave the Su-35S a very high assessment.
