The US Senate approved the adoption of a resolution in support of Ukraine in the fight against the Russian invasion

The US Senate voted to adopt a resolution in support of Kiev, according to which Washington undertakes to support the Ukrainian authorities in the fight against an invasion allegedly planned by Moscow. The Hill writes about it.
The resolution was sponsored by Democratic Senator Jeanne Shaheen and Republican Rob Portman. Shaheen noted that “supporting this resolution by an overwhelming majority, the Senate spoke with one voice.” In addition, senators from the Democratic and Republican parties have already issued a joint statement accusing the Kremlin of trying to provoke aggression against Ukraine.
The Senate approved the introduction of tough anti-Russian measures in case it becomes the initiator of an escalation of the conflict in Ukraine.
