United States President Joe Biden met with the widow of a Russian opposition politician Alexey Navalny Yulia and his daughter Dasha.
This is stated in the message on the US President's Facebook page.
“Today I met with Yulia and Dasha Navalny, relatives of Alexei Navalny, to express my condolences for their bereavement,” the message says.
Additionally, during the meeting, Biden said that the legacy of Alexei Navalny's courage will live on in his wife Yulia, his daughter, and in the countless people across Russia fighting for democracy and human rights.
The American President also said that it was clear from Navalnaya that she would “continue to fight.”
“Tomorrow we will announce sanctions against Putin, who are responsible for his death,” Biden said.
Recall that it was previously reported that in Russia, Lavrov accused Germany of Navalny’s murder.
