The US predicts grim scenarios for the war in Ukraine – The Washington Post

Unless Ukraine receives American aid, collapse could ensue.

Without US military aid, US officials predict grim war scenarios in Ukraine – territorial losses and the death of “countless numbers” of Ukrainians.

This is stated in the publication of The Washington Post.

One of the senior American officials, in a comment to the publication, emphasized that without additional help, a collapse may occur in Ukraine: even if the Ukrainian Armed Forces maintain the enemy’s pressure, this will happen at the cost of “countless numbers of people.”

CIA Director William Burns warned during a speech to legislators that without US assistance, Ukraine's territorial losses this year would be “significant.”

Belyi Representatives at home are not openly talking about any alternative options for assistance to Ukraine, hoping to use public pressure to get Congress to vote for $60 billion in new aid.

“But in private, they [American officials] have come to terms with the prospect that political ineptitude might prevail – either to scuttle the aid package or to pass it too late to avoid disaster for the government in Kiev.” — noted in the publication.

American officials noted that in the event of a final cessation of financial assistance to Ukraine from the United States, the scenario for our state will depend on the ability to mobilize new forces, the success of training initiatives in the West and the morale of the troops.

“Whether this will end in collapse or heavy losses remains a matter of internal debate. But without additional and ongoing support from the United States, there cannot be a bright future for Ukraine,” the senior official added.

Recall that the Ukrainian government is developing options in case the US Congress cannot agree on the allocation of financial assistance for our country.
