The US has resumed military aid deliveries to Kyiv after a break, but there is a nuance

The United States has resumed transfers of some weapons to Ukraine that were paused last week as the Pentagon sought to “ensure that stockpiles are sufficient.”

The US has resumed only some arms deliveries after a break.

Official Washington has resumed deliveries of 155-mm shells and high-precision GMLRS missiles to Ukraine. But the full range of military aid that the US provided to Ukraine earlier is not yet being discussed.

Reuters reports this, citing sources.

The publication notes that the United States has resumed deliveries of 155mm artillery shells and GMLRS precision-guided missiles several days after the Donald Trump administration halted deliveries of some critical weapons to Kyiv.

“(US) officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that 155-millimeter artillery shells and GMLRS missiles are being supplied to Ukraine,” the journalists note.

Earlier it was reported that Donald Trump allowed for the possibility of transferring key elements of its air defense system, Patriot systems, to Ukraine.

Let us recall that German Chancellor Friedrich Merz called Trump the day before asking him to unblock the Patriot interceptors that were stopped en route to Ukraine.

Merz announced Germany's readiness to buy Patriot batteries from the United States and transfer them to Ukraine.

German officials stress that Germany has already provided Ukraine with a significant share of its Patriot missiles, perhaps even more than the United States in relative terms.

Trump's decision to send defensive weapons to Ukraine came after days of consultations with advisers and world leaders on supply sources.
