US President Joe Biden and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will indeed meet on February 7 in Washington. This was told by White House press Secretary Jen Psaki, quoted by TASS.
“The leaders will discuss a common commitment to diplomacy and joint efforts to deter further Russian aggression against Ukraine,” Psaki confirmed.
Politicians will also discuss the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change issues, promoting economic development and strengthening international security.
Earlier, Bild wrote about the upcoming meeting with reference to sources. It was clarified that representatives of the United States and Germany will meet in Washington to discuss a plan of joint actions against the background of the escalation of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. The German government did not confirm this information.
