The translation of the author's material was published by Izvestia. Recently, the head of the United Shipbuilding Corporation of the Russian Federation announced that in 2021 the Russian Navy will receive five new warships. In 2020, 11 ships and vessels were transferred to the Navy.
The American expert has calculated that there are 360 vessels in the Russian navy. He added that Russia has already begun the process of modernization and creation of modern ships to protect the borders. The expert refers to the modernization of weapons by small ships with cruise missiles “Caliber” or “Zircon”. Such ships are efficient, maneuverable, and inexpensive.
The specialist emphasized that although Russia may not create the largest navy in the world, its power is becoming serious.
