The US administration has taken seriously the implementation of the plan to disconnect Russia from the SWIFT interbank system. In order to achieve its goal, Washington wants to put pressure on the leadership of the European Union (EU), Bloomberg reports, citing sources.

It is noted that at present these initiatives are allegedly being coordinated with the US Federal Reserve System (FRS). At the same time, the final decision on the implementation of the anti-Russian plan has not yet been made.

Earlier, the European Union included in the sanctions lists the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev and other Russian officials. The EU document also confirmed the imposition of sanctions against Russian President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
