Experts of the American edition of the National Interest have assessed the Russian wheeled infantry fighting vehicle VPK-7829 on the Boomerang platform.
The BMP was shown at the military exhibition MILEX 2021 in Belarus. American experts said that the new combat vehicle is the future of war.
The experts noted the original layout of the Boomerang's engine compartment. Thanks to the new design, eight armed paratroopers and three crew members can quickly exit the BMP. Also, the Boomerang has increased armor compared to its predecessors. In terms of efficiency, it is even compared to a tank. The vehicle also has a remotely controlled turret from a heavy armored vehicle “Armata T-15”. So can be installed 30-mm cannon and anti-tank missiles “Attack” or “Kornet”, as well as 57-mm cannon with a machine gun.
These are not all the advantages of the machine. Experts believe that the BMP can be used as a platform for any military vehicles.
