Air Force (Air Force) Lieutenant General Clinton Hinote spoke about the sixth generation fighters being developed by the Americans.
The fighter is created as part of the Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) program. According to “Lenta.ru”, the lieutenant general hinted at the production of the second flight prototype NGAD.
The advantage of NGAD will be the combination of manned and unmanned aerial vehicles. Drones will have to enhance the capabilities of fighters.
It is also assumed that the airframe of the sixth generation aircraft will be made according to a tailless aerodynamic design.
In addition, the lieutenant general confirmed that the sixth generation NGAD fighter could replace the F-22 Raptor in the future. This could happen in the 2030s.
