The United States looks forward to continued security dialogue with Russia. This was told by a representative of the US State Department to Newsweek magazine.
The coming days will give a big indication of whether Moscow is sincerely interested in diplomacy, the US official said. He added that all this time the department will closely coordinate its actions with the allies. At the same time, the interlocutor of the publication noted that “if Russia leaves the negotiations, it will become clear that it has never been ready for interaction.”
Earlier, Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov said that there were no concrete results following negotiations with NATO and the United States. According to him, the continuation of the dialogue depends on what response the alliance countries will give to Moscow's proposals on security guarantees.
