The United States reduced the number of countries sponsoring terrorism – Sudan was excluded from the list. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the statement of the Sovereign Council of Sudan.
“The US President has officially signed the decision to exclude Sudan from the list of states supporting terrorism,” the statement said. Sudan added that the decision will be officially announced shortly.
It is known that earlier the United States called on Sudan to quickly decide to normalize relations with Israel. Sudan asked for this to be removed from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism. In exchange for the deal, the US will also provide $ 7 billion in aid to Khartoum.
On September 15, Israel, the UAE and Bahrain signed a peace agreement at the White House. According to the agreements signed, Abu Dhabi and Manama will recognize the State of Israel, while it will suspend the spread of sovereignty to Jewish settlements in the West Bank. In a joint statement, the countries announced that the move would allow further progress towards peace in the Middle East.
