US Space Force Commander Air Force (Air Force) General John Raymond admitted that US satellites are vulnerable to Russia's space weapons.
The general noted that space has become an area of warfare, as have air, land and sea. And Russia's capabilities in outer space are causing concern in US military circles. John Raymond said that Russian weapons are capable of destroying American satellites from the ground or from space, as well as in cyberspace.
The general spoke about such methods of influencing satellites as interference, lasers “blinding” spacecraft, rockets capable of detonating a device in orbit.
According to Raymond, China may also have such weapons. He also noted that the goal of the US Space Force is containment. Now the US Space Force is tracking about 30,000 objects in space.
