Bloomberg named the date of Russia's “invasion” of Ukraine. According to “familiar with the issue” anonymous sources of the American agency, we are talking about February 15th.
It is noted that Russia's actions may include a provocation in the Donbass or an attack on Kiev. “Any action can begin as early as next Tuesday,” the news agency reports the words of the interlocutors. However, they did not provide any evidence to support their claim.
Earlier, Assistant to the President of the United States for National Security Jake Sullivan spoke about the White House's confidence in the imminent invasion of the Russian Federation. The US administration believes that an attack on Ukraine “could begin at any moment,” including during the Beijing Olympics. The assistant to the President of the United States did not disclose the details of the information allegedly obtained from intelligence.
On February 5, Bloomberg mistakenly published an article about Russia's “starting invasion” of Ukraine. Later, the publication apologized for publishing false data. The agency clarified that they are now investigating the circumstances of how such false and provocative material could appear on the site.
Later, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the American media a serious publication and added that now, against the background of such publications, the Kremlin has every reason to replace the definition of the term fake-news with Bloomberg-news.
