In 2022, the US Army intends to conduct the largest test of robotic tanks. They will take part in an impromptu battle.
It is reported that an entire company of unmanned combat vehicles will be created for simulated conflict next year. This experiment will be the first of its kind in terms of scale. Its results will help improve the hardware and software of the robotic tanks so that they can be effective in real combat.
Earlier, the US Army selected five companies to produce prototype unmanned tanks. Manufacturers will need to use open source platforms so that in the future the military can modify existing machines.
It is also noted that first all models of tank robots will be tested in a virtual environment, and only then real prototypes will be tested.
