Given the latest events in the world, experts are increasingly beginning to talk about the threat of a Third World War. International affairs expert Taras Zhovtenko told where it could begin and where it could unfold.

About Taras Zhovtenko, an expert on international security at the Ilk Kucheriv Foundation for Democratic Initiatives, said this in an interview with UNIAN.
What a Third World War could be
Taras Zhovtenko suggests that a hybrid Third World War will likely unfold as a cascading series of regional conflicts united by the aggressor countries behind them. The expert lists, in particular, the Russian Federation and Iran as such countries. The strategic goal of such conflicts will be to disperse and deplete the resources of the West, causing its division and strategic defeat, showing its inability to protect its own allies and national interests in key geographic locations.
Where World War III could unfold
Zhovtenko suggests that from the point of view of the use of the military component and hybrid tools, the likely theaters for the deployment of a hybrid Third World War, in addition to the already active European (Ukraine) and Middle Eastern (Israel), may well become the Asia-Pacific (South Korea, Taiwan), expanding the range of countries -aggressors at the expense of the DPRK and China (and in that order).
According to the expert, combat operations in these theaters will be complemented by the active use of hybrid tools in Europe and the United States, primarily using Kremlin-tested technologies due to migration crises, as well as traditional disinformation and propaganda.
For hybrid to destabilize the United States, Latin American countries will be used – some of them the Russian special services have already turned into their actual intelligence and sabotage hubs (such as Brazil and Venezuela), the expert says.
Zhovtenko suggests that depending on How the administration of the new US president will respond to these threats, the region may also turn into a war zone.
