Even more Belarusian troops are concentrated on the borders with NATO countries than near the Ukrainian border.
On the border with Ukraine today , May 24, there are about 2 thousand Belarusian troops – about the same as on the border with Lithuania and Poland. Such a group cannot threaten to attack.
This opinion was expressed on air by “1+1” military expert, director of the Center for Military Legal Research Alexander Musienko.
According to him, even more Belarusian troops are concentrated on the borders with NATO countries than near the Ukrainian border.
“It cannot be said that there [on the border with Ukraine on the Belarusian side] a flash of activity was recorded, indicating that the enemy intends to develop an offensive from there – there is none. However, there is reason to believe that these threats or the demonstration of these threats are against the Baltic countries,” Musienko emphasized.
Recall that earlier monitoring channels reported that Belarus is probably again preparing to receive and transfer Russian military equipment.
