The Thai authorities decided to ease the visa regime for tourists

by alex

The Thai authorities have announced their intention to ease the visa regime for tourists. In particular, visas will be returned upon arrival, and their validity will be extended from 30 to 45 days.

Thus, the country's leadership wants to revive the tourism sector of the economy and double the number of travelers. The extension of the validity of visas should compensate tourists for the 14-day quarantine.

Such relaxation of the regime will affect citizens arriving from 56 countries, including Russia.

At the moment, Thailand issues only long-term visas, for which you must not only prove your solvency, but also have medical insurance in the amount of $ 100,000.

The country's Ministry of Health said that they have every opportunity to contain the spread of COVID-19.

Tourists will have to undergo a coronavirus test before departure, and upon arrival in Thailand, they will be quarantined in one of the hotels approved by the authorities for 14 days. In addition, there are alternative options for quarantine accommodation, which will be paid by tourists separately.
