The unnamed territory adjacent to the US Embassy in Moscow was named the “Square of the Donetsk People's Republic”.

“Assign to the nameless territory located from Bolshoi Devyatinsky Lane to Maly Konyushkovsky Lane along Konyushkovskaya Street in the area of ​​the Presnensky Central Administrative District of the city of Moscow, the name is “the square of the Donetsk People's Republic,” the resolution says.

The Moscow City Duma deputies came up with such an initiative the day before, proposing to call the territory the “square of the defenders of Donbass.” However, during the voting on the Active Citizen platform, the variant of the name “Square of the Donetsk People's Republic” won.

Note that the deputies of the Moscow City Duma earlier also initiated the assignment of the square leave the German embassy with the name “Square of the Luhansk People's Republic”.

Recall that in a village in the Khmelnytsky region, one of the streets and alleys was named after the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny.
