In Chicago, a teacher did a PCR test on an airplane and, after the result, isolated herself in the toilet, according to the NY Post.
According to the publication, in the middle of the flight, Marisa Foteo felt that she had a sore throat. The woman herself passed a PCR test in the toilet, and he tested positive for coronavirus. She immediately reported this to the flight attendant, who offered to stay indoors, since there were no empty seats in the cabin. As a result, the woman spent up to four hours there before landing. It was reported that her father and brother, who were sitting nearby, passed tests upon arrival and were healthy. Foteo is currently in quarantine in Reykjavik.
Earlier, otorhinolaryngologist Evgenia Larina said that flying in an airplane with a runny nose is not recommended, as this can cause severe headaches and threatens with other unpleasant consequences. If the flight cannot be postponed, the doctor advised to start preparations for it with the right choice of seats, she said.
