“The survival of Ukraine is under threat” – the head of the Pentagon on the 20th Ramstein

According to Lloyd Austin, helping Ukraine is “a matter of survival and sovereignty for Ukraine, but also a matter of honor and security for America.”

US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin warned that Ukraine's survival was at risk and tried to convince allies that the United States was given over to Kiev, even when Washington had effectively run out of money to continue arming the Ukrainian Armed Forces.< /p>

Reuters writes about this.

“Ukraine's survival is at risk… Our allies and partners continue to step up their efforts, and the United States must do so too,” – noted at the opening meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine (Ramstein format).

According to him, assistance and supply of ammunition to Ukraine is “a matter of survival and sovereignty for Ukraine, but also a matter of honor and security for America.”

Austin did not specify how Washington will support Ukraine without additional funding.

Officials say a lack of available funding is already affecting Ukraine, leaving Ukrainian forces to manage with limited resources.

“I think our allies are clearly aware of the situation with our funding, and the Ukrainians more than anyone because of the shortage that has arisen due to the fact that we cannot supply them,” said a senior US defense official commented to the publication on condition of anonymity.

“There is no way our allies can truly join forces to compensate for the lack of US support,” adds an anonymous US defense official.

American officials do not rule out that the US administration will still be able to find some money for Ukraine, but this amount will not compensate for the bill blocked by Congress that provides assistance to Ukraine in the amount of $60 billion.

Recall that within the framework of Ramstein, Pentagon head Lloyd Austin emphasized that the United States will not allow Kyiv to lose the war against Russia. He promised to continue cooperation with his colleagues so that Congress would approve assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

President Biden invited $61 billion from the US Congress to help Ukraine, but the US Congress never made a decision on helping Ukraine.
