Users posted a video on the Web showing how a five-meter sand wall is approaching Cairo. The storm was accompanied by a wind speed of up to 60 km per hour. Due to bad weather, the sun was not visible for almost a day.

Schools were closed in Cairo and surrounding cities, and people were advised to stay at home whenever possible.

Spain was reportedly covered with snow : A blizzard hit at least ten regions. Gironi got almost more. The drivers of the blizzard added trouble there. Dozens of vehicles were blocked under drifts. Traffic jams have formed on the roads.
