The Sun Announces Two New Elizabeth II Corgis

by alex

Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain was presented with two new corgi puppies. This is reported by The Sun, citing a knowledgeable source.

The publication writes that the dogs were brought when the 94-year-old queen was left alone in the castle due to the illness of her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh Philip, who had undergone cardiac surgery the day before. “They only stayed in the castle for a couple of weeks, but they are said to be adorable. Both bring a lot of noise and energy to the castle while Philip is in the hospital, ”the source said.

At the same time, it is not reported who exactly presented the queen with such a gift. The gender and names of the animals are also kept secret.

Elizabeth II's last corgi, Willow, died at Windsor Castle in 2018 at the age of 14. The dog suffered from cancer and the queen decided to put the pet to sleep so that he would not suffer from pain. According to media reports, the queen was “heartbroken.”

In total, Elizabeth II had more than 30 dogs of this shepherd breed. Her last pet belonged to the 14th generation of corgi, descended from a dog named Susan, which the queen received from her parents as a gift for her 18th birthday.
