In another video, Harris captured the moment when his girlfriend is alone at the control system. Later posts and stories were deleted.
The video was noticed by Harris's colleagues, and soon the video reached one of the leaders of the New York Passenger Transportation Administration, who reported the incident to the police. Representatives of the Department clarified that the driver has been working in the company for almost five years, and his earnings in 2020 amounted to 117.5 thousand US dollars (8.6 million rubles).
Police officers plan to interrogate Belgrave, and Harris has been suspended from work. “This egregious video captures a train driver who failed New Yorkers and betrayed their trust by putting them in danger. I want to assure all passengers that he has been suspended from work and will no longer be allowed to operate trains, ”said Craig Cipriano, Acting President of the New York Passenger Transportation Administration.
