American student diagnosed with a rare allergy to sperm

A resident of the US state of Colorado complained that she was diagnosed with a rare allergy to sex. It is reported by The Mirror.
18-year-old student Chloe Lowery first suspected that she was allergic to sperm when after oral sex she felt unbearable pain, and her face began to look like she had just visited the dentist. After another sexual encounter, the girl's face went numb. “The right side of my face went numb and I couldn’t even move my lips to express my emotions. The sensation was like anesthesia at the dentist, ”she explained.
The girl reacted to what happened with humor. “I thought it was more of a funny situation. I was afraid that this feeling would remain forever, but gradually I began to feel my cheek again, and everything became fine. But since then I have avoided oral sex for this reason, ”she said.
The doctor told the student that the pain and redness of the skin were caused by hypersensitivity to semen. It turned out that the woman had an allergic reaction to the proteins that it contains.
Because of this, Lowery experiences an unpleasant burning sensation within an hour after sex. She describes the sensation as “a million acupuncture needles.” A woman learns to live with such an allergy, but many of those to whom she tells about it claim that they have never heard of such a phenomenon.
An American woman practices safe sex and uses condoms that help her get rid of an allergic reaction. She explained that she had to tell her partners about allergies, and this news did not cause any problems with any of them. “They find it funny, so I didn’t have relationship problems because of it,” the woman said.
Earlier it was reported that in the Spanish city of Alicante, a woman was hospitalized with a rare form of an allergic reaction after she engaged in oral sex with her partner. She complained to doctors about bouts of vomiting and breathing problems that began after intercourse.
