In France, a student received a suspended sentence on a terrorism case after she wrote a comment in which she called the death of beheaded teacher Samuel Pati “deserved.” This is reported by L'Est Republican.
A 19-year-old student from Besançon left a comment under the publication of the publication, which spoke of a nationwide rally in memory of the murdered teacher, scheduled for October 18. So the girl responded with an indignant murder and his loved ones who supported him. Her comment was reported on the state platform Pharos, which tracks illegal content on the French segment of the Internet. A few days later, the student was detained and interrogated.
At the trial, the girl said that at the time of writing the comment she did not know about what had happened and apologized for it. According to her, she later deleted it after realizing the mistake. She added that “she doesn’t recognize herself, she was not raised that way,” and she didn’t want to stir up hatred in other people.
The police checked the student's computer and phone, but found no connection to the terrorists. At the trial, the prosecutor asked for her six months probation and 180 hours of community service, but the court issued a lighter sentence. The girl received a four-month suspended sentence and pledged to attend, at her own expense, civic education courses, where they talk about the values and responsibilities of French society.
The high-profile murder took place in the city of Conflans-Saint-Honorine in the suburbs of Paris. Abdulakh Anzorov, an 18-year-old Chechen, stalked teacher Samuel Pati outside the college, killed him and beheaded him. At the same time, he posted photos and videos from the crime scene on the network. Later, the terrorist was shot by police. It is believed that Anzorov attacked Pati after seeing a video on the network in which the father of one of the students condemned the teacher for showing the children a caricature of the Prophet Muhammad. The video said in which educational institution this happened.
According to law enforcement officers, the killer was born in Moscow and at the age of six moved with his family to France, where he received the status of a political refugee. According to the newspaper Le Parisien, Anzorov was associated with terrorists – he communicated with a certain Islamist from Syria.
