Soloviev received a head injury and is in the Botkin hospital
The skater who survived the attack was hospitalized. Soloviev entered the neurosurgical department of the Botkin Hospital. According to the Telegram channel Baza, the skater has a closed head injury and many bruises.
The skater was beaten because he stood up for his girlfriend
The companion of the Russian curling skater Anna Sidorova, in an interview with Match TV, described the situation that led to the attack on Solovyov. Sidorova rested with her friends. One of the girls asked for a lighter from a group of young people at the exit of a karaoke bar, which is located in Veskovsky Lane. During the verbal skirmish, the skater himself was still in the institution.
When the athlete went out into the street, he intervened in the conflict and stood up for the girls. Then there was a fight: in response to a verbal remark, an unknown person pushed Solovyov. The fallen athlete was run over by the rest. Fragments of the incident were also published by the Baza Telegram channel.
The suspects in beating Solovyov were detained
The press service of the GUMVD in Moscow reported that the suspects in the attack on the Olympic champion had already been detained. It is noted that the attackers were caught near the scene.
