Deputy Svishchev: on the incident with the Russian youth ice hockey team, you should contact the FHR

State Duma Deputy Dmitry Svishchev hoped that information about the indecent behavior of the Russian youth ice hockey team before boarding a flight from Calgary to Frankfurt am Main will not be confirmed. His words are quoted by “Sport-Express”.
“Members of the national team are the face of the country at international games. All of Russia we were worried that we had canceled the youth ice hockey world championship, and this is how they behave. If so, they will be punished according to the requirements of the airline, ”Svishchev said.
In his opinion, this incident should be addressed to the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (FHR). “There is serious leadership there. They have to figure it out, and then apply sanctions and everything else, ”the deputy concluded.
It became known about the removal of the Russian youth team from the flight earlier on January 1. Swedish journalist Marie Lehmann said that some hockey players behaved indecently at the airport. In particular, drunkenness, smoking and the refusal of athletes to wear masks became the reason for the denial to board the plane.
Later, she explained that the officials of the Russian national team, and not the hockey players, behaved indecently. They violated the rules of safe travel.
